To provide and support the Classii service, we use the information we hold as described below. The specific purposes for which we use the information we hold are as follows.
Service Provision, Personalization, and Improvement
We use the information we hold for personalizing functions and content (adjusting the priority of displayed content, prioritizing content based on language or residence, etc.). Specific purposes are explained below.
Product Research and Development
For the purpose of developing, testing, and improving our products, we use the information we hold to conduct surveys, implement research, test new products or features, and troubleshoot issues.
Advertising and Other Sponsored Content
To select and personalize advertisements and sponsored content, we use user attribute information that we hold. However, as of now, we do not use information other than registered language and residence.
Business Services such as Effectiveness Measurement and Analysis
For the purpose of measuring the effectiveness of advertisements within Classii's service, we obtain information about the frequency of ad delivery to users, user responses (clicks, etc.), and provide this information to sponsors. However, the information provided does not allow the identification of individuals.
Promotion of Safety, Security, and Protection
We use the information we hold for the authentication of accounts and activities, addressing malicious activities, detecting and preventing issues such as spam, maintaining the security of our products, and promoting safety and security both internally and externally. For example, we investigate suspicious activities and violations of our terms or policies.
Communication with Users
We periodically deliver information about the operation of important services, such as the release of new features, revisions to terms or policies, requests for cooperation in surveys, improvements to features, issue detection, service maintenance, and significant updates to content, to the registered email addresses of users. We also use this information to respond to inquiries from users.
Profiling
To recommend content that users are likely to be interested in, we profile user preferences based on the history of activities related to content, such as "likes" or bookmarks. Using machine learning technology, we measure the similarity of content and recommend content based on the tendencies of the set of content that users have reacted to.
However, at present, the "content recommendation feature based on profiling" has not been implemented in Classii.mu. Profiling-based content recommendations are positioned as auxiliary functions, and the main selection of content is brought about by users themselves through reactions (likes, follows, bookmarks).
Methods of Information Sharing
User information is shared with others through the following methods.
Sharing on the Classii.mu Service
Display on the Site
Among the registration information that users have provided, information such as Classii.mu ID, display name, short bio, posted video information, review information, bookmarks, likes, and information about who is being followed can be viewed by all site visitors (including users not logged into Classii.mu).

Advertisers
In Classii.mu, we provide advertisers with reports on the type of people who have seen ads and the effectiveness of the ads. However, we do not share information that could identify users (such as user names or email addresses leading to contact or identification).
